What is the Healthcare Marketplace?

The Healthcare Marketplace is the Federally-Facilitated Exchange established by the Affordable Care Act (sometimes referred to as Obamacare). The Marketplace allows individuals to purchase affordable, high-quality health coverage plans when other means of enrolling in an affordable health insurance plan may not be available.

How can I schedule an appointment with a Navigator?

You can schedule an appointment with a certified ULG Navigator by phone, email, or online.

ULG Navigators are available Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm EST. Appointments on evenings and weekends are available upon request. Please call or email the ULG Navigator Program to schedule an appointment outside regular business hours. Our team is happy to accommodate your scheduling needs.

What should I bring to my appointment with a ULG Navigator?

There are several documents you will need to have available during your appointment to ensure that your application is completed correctly, and your eligibility results are accurate. Please review our “Getting Ready to Apply” document for full details what to bring to your appointment with a ULG Navigator.

How do I know if I am eligible for the Healthcare Marketplace?

: Most people can shop for health insurance through the Marketplace. In general, qualified individuals must reside in the state where their Marketplace is, be a U.S. citizen or a lawfully present resident, and must not be currently incarcerated. Since everyone’s case is different, a ULG Navigator will work with you to fully clarify the plan options and any subsidies you are eligible for during your appointment. If you are ineligible for the Healthcare Marketplace, ULG Navigators can assist you with Marketplace complex case and determination appeals processes or help connect you with other resources for low-cost or free healthcare services in your area.
